Vehement repudiation of Christian and liberal ethics; the detestation of democratic ideals; the celebration of the "superman"; the death of God; and a life-affirming "will to power" are the philosophical legacies of Friedrich Nietzsche. In this program, Nietzsche philosopher J.P. Stern discusses these concepts as the genesis of existentialism, and as the root philosophies of fascist political movements.

  • I'm glad that this video series is sparking some intellectual conversation. It's always good to be able to have dissenting views and to be able to have discussion.

However, keep things CIVIL. Insults and personal attacks are pointless. If you have a strong opinon, present evidence to support your claims and cut the BS.

  • @TheDavid2222 I have thought that also..but that's why America has a democraic republic with a constitution and a separation of powers. If we can get rid of some of the corruption, if the leaders did their jobs instead of playing politics and being conditioned by the political correctness and weak ideas Marxism has instilled in our republic, then America would be much better. America's original system is the best the world has offered. It can still work if people read Jefferson, Madison, Paine

  • @flame0430 sorry Dad! we will behave from now on. thank you for providing the roof over our heads.

  • I am very dissolusioned with democracy at this point. I have read Plato's and Nietszche's attacks against it, and democracy seems pitiful now. Anyone want to defend democracy? I live in a democracy and would like to see if someone could defend it's honor!

  • We created our own experience based off of bullshit idealism, monism has failed us, there is no true world, and no reason to care, have a beer ; )

  • @1982CFD sorry, "thug being".

  • @Debaser11 sorry I only meant to say "being thug" once there.

  • @Debaser11 Do you think that "a black thug being thug being promoted by white Jews to sell filth to children" is incompatible with Nietzsche's concept?

  • sorry on nietzche its a triffliing thing but should all morals be dealt out equal. i know the king should be a shepard, but should the shepard know this? and if the King in his high reloute find other mans passions to his fancy? who should be the sheperd then?
