This is a video I created with graphical lyrics for the re-worked English version of the 1973 hit song by Mocedades. It was the flip side of the 45 rpm original Spanish version released in the U.S. which you can see at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMomB_39o40

  • nice melody. what is the point of this song? hope reply me,fast(necessary)

  • @Mongolia2468 I'm sorry, I don't understand your question.

  • @SWLinPHX mm...i`m sorry if i used wrong word. I`m asking that what is the main idea of this song?

  • @Mongolia2468 Still not sure I understand. What do you mean "what is the main idea"? It is a love song like the other million out there.

  • Not being critical at all, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. My point was you said "I adored this song , couldnt understand" and was just making sure you realized this isn't the meaning to the song you had heard but never understood. And I wasn't sure if you knew about the actual translation to the original on my other link is all. I like these lyrics too though! : )

  • In Danish this song was called "Rør ved mig" (Touch me), and was performed by two sisters, Lecia and Lucienne :o)

  • @2007danman Many artists have covered, but this is the original song by Mocedades. It is there song, thought other artists later covered it live in many languages and versions, as is this case with most popular songs.

  • Hermoso tema. Me hace llorar. Aunque prefiero más la versión en español

  • I first heard the Spanish version when I was a kid and loved it every time it was played. Of course it eventually fell of the US charts and into history for me. I finally found the song online and was very happy to add it to my library. Until I stumbled on this page I had no idea they recorded an English version. I have to admit, whether this version literally translates the original makes little difference to me. On its own, it's a great song and a pleasure to listen to.

  • Ok Im mexican and Im 30, Im surprised to hear this version, I didn´t know about it, BUT in my country nowadays Spanish version (obviously) is a very well known song, is not a current hit but everybody knows it. Im bilingual AND TO BE HONEST THE SPANISH VERSION IS 1,000,000 TIMES BETTER, and the reason is that is a completely different lyric, with a different intention , SHE SAYS: You are like the water of my fountain, the fire in my homme ......

  • thanx...I never heard this before.

  • They always used to play the English version back in late '73 early '74 and then it faded away and oldies stations only played the Spanish version. Glad to be able to find the English version which I always liked a lot better.

  • Spanish is the best.
