FIFTY@FIFTY-Tracey Jackson talks With 50 People On Being 50: #42 SALLY QUINN

At 70 years old, SALLY QUINN has led an exciting life as a reporter and columnist for the Washington Post, CBS News, as well as being an author of several novels, and currently manages, writes and directs the 'On Faith' section of the Washington Post's website. Married to former Washington Post head, Ben Bradlee (20 years older than Quinn), she stays active, involved and engaged in her work and 'loves what she does' (a crucial element in her keys to staying young). Sally manages to have 'sacred time' several times a week to allow her personal pleasures (dancing classes, yoga, swimming, exercising etc) and advises that for her 'retirement is not in my vocabulary'. While not for everyone, she advises exposing yourself to new thoughts and ideas, and learn something new everyday..and to 'make things happen for yourself'.

After years behind a typewriter as a reporter, Quinn has 'reinvented herself'
via the Internet as a blogger and oversees the popular 'On Faith' section for the Washington Post (you can find links to her and On Faith below). As an early adopter of new technology, she taught herself (and learned) how to apply and transfer her old skills to the new ways of engaging an audience....and you can too!
