When one is ungrounded one is distracted and not "centered" so being grounded and centered means becoming quiet and centered within oneself knowing who one is feeling ones own feeling and consciousness, getting out of the rushing mental energy in the mind and just centering ones consciousness in the heart. One can also use movement, dance or anything that quiets you and gets you out of the spinning thoughts of the mind and into your heart.
