I've had this exact same problem several times. Hoping that new fix comes out soon and addresses the numerous issues I've been having.

My 2012 Lincoln has don this as well. I guess Ford needs to get that update out.

The more electronic devices they put into cars the more shit like that will happen.
Older cars without advanced Nasa computers didnt have that problem.

"Welcome to the 2012 Ford Focus." Should be "Welcome to the first year of any model." Never buy the first year of any new model or major overhaul of an existing model. Too many unknown problems to be ironed out.

My 2012 Focus Titatnium does the exact same crap. Dealer is trying but keeps telling me wait for software upgrade....coming any day now.....

Have you seen the MyFord Touch update? I read an article online that showed the MFT update and it supposedly doubles the processor speed and IMO it looks a lot better. It said that Ford will send USB drives with the update on it. I can't wait for the update to come to my Explorer, but I haven't had any of the problems that you have. I guess that from what I read online I'm in the minority there. But anyway I'm definitely looking forward to the speed increase!

So is it fixed??? Also have you been experiencing that slight hesitation when your stopping or accelerating from first that the other 2012 ford focus owners are encountering?

@MrJun909 I think that's from people doing rolling stops in these cars...which this transmission doesn't like very much, neither does the DSG in my mom's Jetta. It is usually fine if you come to a complete stop.
