Keep working w/ your teachers, many in the field of medicine are experts. The experts mind has no room for growth, learning. The beginner's many...and pple take, take, take, but on the other side of that coin, is that many of medicine lose their gifts to the material, and monetary pay. It's bigger than karmic.

I agree with you 100%: There needs to be compensation to those who truly are connected with the "Other"; Many Westerners take advantage of shamans. The problem faced is one of corruption brought on by the introduction of Capitalism ,greed and ego into the realm of spirit. I have seen The effect of this degenerate mindset on both shamans and ceremony. Ayahuasca herself rejects all of these concepts. My main reaction to her has been deep humility. You do make sense in what you say; I do pay.

my understanding is the medicine is so powerful, heart based, intelligent & humbling 1 will get what they need. i know that many reputable people have built eco-tourism outfits all over the Amazon basin that is helping the local economy & is a proven model 4 SUSTAINABILITY. its great there's so much interest in the Amazon/shamanism. more people get ayahuasca in their blood maybe we can awaken our true nature of love. 1 thing for sure is we need to expand past POVERTY CONSCIOUSNESS, Aya helps!

What I have seen these eco-tourism "businesses" do is create a money flow; I've seen more than one of them take advantage of the shamans. I've seen shamans become seduced by the lure of wealth brought to the jungle by "us". I've just seen too much phoniness in the shaman business, even those purporting to be there to help. What I learned early on is that you don't just take ayahuasca, you are innoculated by it. Once it's in your system, it changes your life dramatically. Try it. Peace.

Reminder, Aya teaches that we have to keep our minds maintained, by simple converges with nature. Like sponges some of the material we have sopped has to be released. The Caucasion Nation needs to be cautioned not to become self rightous. "the road to hell was paved with good intentions"....
