This is a concept video featuring AUR, a robotic desk lamp developed at the Media Lab (http://web.media.mit.edu/~guy/aur/). In this video, the lamp tracks the human user illuminating the right area at the right time. The lamp also helps the user find things in the workspace by using a different color and a beam-narrowing iris to point out things.
All the functionality in this video except the "seeking" detection is currently implemented and working autonomously on the robot, using a motion capture system.
