I installed the insinkerator 777ss 1 HP a few years back and its unstoppable! Chicken and rib bones even, NO PROBLEM.. Plumbing doesn't like stringy shit like celery unless you have LOTS of water flowing (removed the water saver bullshit from the tap, its stupid anyway)!. And yes I have to agree, grinding IS therapudic!

Try turkey drumsticks. You could make a video series Will it grind. similar to will it blend but you put various household waste down the sink and see if it chews it up.

What brand? I can tell probably a GE, Whirlaway, or one of those smaller disposals. Although sinkmasters are pretty big.

plus, kenmore as well as any Emerson Electric made disposer has a wider flange.

Waste King, GE, Whirlaway, Sinkmaster? I can tell by the sound. I can put all that stuff through my 15 year old 3/4 hp Kenmore, it is much quieter and smoother sounding as well. Of course, you can over work any disposer, it'll burn it out prematurely and cause problems to your plumbing.

This video was made to show people in my area that they do not need to be afraid to use the Garbage disposal if it is a properly installed and properly sized disposal for what their needs are. In my area, most garbage disposals are cheap 1/3 hp and the drain goes directly into a tubular drain tee that has a baffle in it. I like IN SINK ERATOR brand because of the new warranty. If a plumber buys and installs the unit from a wholesaler it adds to the warranty.
