@b3nny85, the word you're looking for is koelsch, but this is partially like native german and part koelsch, but on the Dreimal Zehn Jahre album they made a version of this song entirely in Koelsch, quite frankly though I think these guys are one of the greatest bands ever, I remember long summer days listening to BAP

@riflebore It's not German in origin, but a german dialect spoken in cologne and the area around it, I think. Not many people speak it as thick as the singer, though. It's usualy easier to understand.

Hey riflebore!
Sorry for the late answer, but i want to answer you even if your part was posted long time ago. Its a german dialect called "Kölsch", which is spoken in Cologne... so it counts to german, yes. :) the refrain means something like "long time ago", literarly "damn long ago". Yes you are right, music unites :) Greetings from Cologne!

Wow this brings back memeories.
i was stationed in Muenster in the 80s, and we used to go out and this song was allways played... Used to love it dance around etc.
but i thought that he was singing and
"Es tut mir lied alle Duet=stchen"
Long Blond Hair!!!!
I was told better later by my Lovely German Girlfriend..
Please forgive if I am to interrupt. I don't really understand the song's native language, but my guess is that it's German in origin. If first heard this song watching a video of DTM motorsports.
I don't understand the lyrics but I FELT UNITED WITH IT because the melody sounds like "someone remisniscing a victorious event". I think it's true that people around the world are united by music if not by words.
Peace people! I love the rhythm, I love the beat of this song!
