If i could give some advice, i would say. listen a lot of music, but all kind of music.
Orchestration is very important, and you can start to study it since today.
harmony is also very important too.
About composer, i love to listen Debussy and Mahler. they are the best in orchestration levels in my opnion.
Hey, look for something from Luigi Nono, He is a italian composer. is very good.
he does a lot of effects very impresive with eletronics

pues mira, en la epoca que hicimos la obra, el director ya lo tenia los livros todos de Alfred Jarry y todos traducidos a Portugues. Pero yo mismo no lo tengo...
