The financial system will only get better if the US prosecutes Wall St crime, regulating and unwinding the trillions in derivatives, sever the cozy bond between TBTF and govt, etc to restore faith in markets.

Europe fell prey to toxic US mortgage secs, ruining hi-leveraged balance sheets, now is scrambling to plug leaking dam.

Germany is only out for themselves. Benefited from aid and were debt-forgiven for War they started and still owe Greece reparations and gold.

  • bitte noch deutsche sprachversion hinzufügen - einfach die zweite spur weglassen

  • Thanks for the upload.

It's interesting to hear from leaders like Dr Merkel, who are navigating the fiscal crisis successfully, so we can compare them with those who are making a bigger hash of things. It's looking like quietly cheerful and competent gets the job done - and creates the confidence necessary to move forward.
