Jason: The key is what is termed "media training." Celebrities and recording artists undergo extensive practice in this before going in front of the camera. But this is certainly a respectable representation for the event. Standing up will give you more power and you might want to work with a mirror. Also, since you're a live performer, having someone in the room might add energy.
