Rowe/AMi R-92 playing Rimsky-Korsakhoff's Scheherazade, Op.35 Festival at Bagdad from a 1949 RCA Red Seal 45. This 45 was made during the time period when RCA anticipated replacing 78s with 45s directly, and ignoring the ease with which Columbia's LP 33s would allow full symphonies to be played with little interruption. I found this disc in a box of 45s and I thought it might be valuable, but it's not-so I made a title card and put it straight into the jukebox! Classical pieces have long names, but that one looks pretty close to a real title card, but the text is smaller. I thought B-sides are underrated, so I skipped the obvious Beethoven choice. I also have Murphy's Fifth of Beethoven in there. Probably the only jukebox in the world with a Red Seal in it. Enjoy!

  • Is the music controlling the lights? Way cool!

  • It is. It works better with something that has a pulsing rhythm, but it will work for anything that reaches the thresholds to trigger the lights.

  • Cool. Jukebox hero, 1821.

  • Me too I'd put a few Red Seals in once I get a jukebox! I even have a Red Seal 45 that was a jukebox hit back in its day: Jose Iturbi playing Chopin's Polonaise in A flat Op.53.

  • that's a cool 45!
