  • So...900+ show up for a meaningless "lipdub", but only 100 show up for this? Oh right, the other was to be better than another school...this one is only for, you know, democracy. At this rate only 9-10 of the people will actually go vote I guess. Unfortunately for "the youth", you can't actually vote by just 'favoriting' or 'liking' something...

  • @gromhurst The VoteMob was organized in less than a week, the LipDub spent months.

We would have loved a larger turnout, but we were very impressed with the number of students who came out during exam period with such short notice!

  • Haha. At the end their sign says 3,000,000 and they say 3000. Too funny!! Especially for university students.

  • so like anyways lol the only good thing about the video was the cute girl

  • @UBCVoteMob I trust you were careful not to disturb any exams by being loud when you were within range of them? I'd hate to think the vote movement disrupted people as they were writing, especially since the full schedule was online and could be planned around.

Maybe next time this could be publicized better too: I would have probably joined to support it, but I only found out about it today through a series of links.

  • @peelability don't try to act smart, this is the internet

  • @xyzzjp clearly you don't go to UBC. You would have had proper grammar otherwise.

  • @gromhurst And the lip dub wasn't meaningless. The proceeds went to the Make a Wish Foundation.

  • @gromhurst It was exam time. I went to this, but I was hesitant with my dental final the day after. FYI. Maybe you shouldn't be so negative, the point is we did something to try and make a difference. Let's just keep that positive, common goal in mind.

  • @gromhurst what's with that attitude bro?

  • @gromhurst These are 100 people who care about this more than you do. Regardless of what you think the odds are or even what ends up happening, the only way to change anything is to care to try.

    Good job guys. :)
