the match is composed of 3 rounds. the first and second round consist of 30 seconds. There is a circle in the middle which is 1 meter in diameter. the defender will stay inside the circle and will use all the defense technique in his arsenal to prevent the striker from hitting him. the striker stays outside the circle and will try to hit the defender. He could not step on the line or beyond the line. If he does the referee will stop the fight momentarily to signal a violation. any violation is a point deduction. The striker will be the one being scored if he makes a hit. Any player who drops his stick will be given a 5 point deduction or losses the round. On the second round, they exchange places. On the third round an IMAF ruling will be implemented. it is freestyle sparring.
