@btghgirl What would motivate you to wonder that if not self interest? Why would "you" care about "you" enough to acquire the love of others if you were not selfish in the first place? Selfishness is inescapable if you are alive. You do not understand Objectivism.

@dayglowgreendoor I must admit I do not understand where you are coming from with this.

John Galt would've kicked the living shit right out of you two pansies. Ayn Rand would have spat in your pansy boy faces and told you to get a job and stop trying to profit from her energies. John Galt says FUCK YOU PANSIES! JOHN GALT SAYS FUCK TEABAGGERS!

you know i guess yoiu are right. That's the point. Everything EVERYTHING you put out into the universe makes it back to the mind of the thinker. So yes, if you want to call it selfish then so be it. It's about the question: What do you choose? To bless the world and yourself or to curse the world and yourself. Label it what you will.

it sounds like you're saying that giving to others isn't selfish. but then you give a selfish reason to give to others ("Maybe then the world would love giving more to you")
so i'm really not sure where you stand on that. somewhere in the middle perhaps?

And what the Progressives/socialists/Marxis
ts et al have been doing for decades. -
Reaching for my Fender Stratocaster as I type dude! Now imagine 8 finger tapping solo!

Yeah, but sometimes We're a lonely bunch. No one seems to apply critical thinking in the world today.
All Objectivists rock! Face it...its what we do. We rock! ;-)

ARI's focus on students and getting Ayn Rand's ideas to the young is one of the most brilliant strategies ever to be applied in philosophical activism. Its so simple.
