Our first time camping/riding in this area on our vintage ski doos. Parked at 8000' , practice rode, then traveled 5 miles up to 9200 - Sherman pass. Mt Whitney was 40 miles in the distance. Up to 2' of snow was not groomed yet, but that is no problem for ye old light weight machines :) I left the bad comment in from my son about his mom maybe "driving off a cliff" - since he learns a lesson of Karma later in the trip...
