Bronze Medal winner at CoasterCrazy.com.

First ride worthy of public showcasing by Thomas Kaira Coaster Productions.

Corkscrew was the first roller coaster to flip its riders upside down three times in a single ride, and made history when it opened at Cedar Point in 1976. This is a true classic steel roller coaster, designed by Arrow Dynamics, and still performing strong for 33 years.

This is a recreation of that classic ride done with No Limits, and absolutely no stops have been pulled. EVERY element of this ride has been compared to the official POV from the Cedar Point for accuracy, and every element has been optimized completely for shaping and pacing. The cars are textured exactly as in real life, and all the major scenery surrounding the ride is present. Final time in production: 1 month.

This coaster was 100% built by hand.

Enjoy your ride!

  • How do you make the corkscrew and loop supports? And how do you design the station? Did you make all of this from No Limits, or did you get downloads from the internet?

  • @MrShalise

The loop and corkscrew supports are faux-curved through semi-clever usage of nodes.

The station was very tediously constructed from wooden supports in the NL editor.

  • Here is my corckscrew from no limits.

  • I rode this in real life at Cedar Point last summer. I wish it was that smooth in real life.

  • Nice job! A tip: just add a little more hight to give it that 2-2.5g

  • thats not real! theres no peeps on there!

  • How did you curve the supports

  • It's a short ride, but so beautiful... I couldn't imagine Cedar Point with out it hovering over the midway. Or being next to Iron Dragon :) I love them both!
