Fantastic Video, Never heard of the Trail up until I started reading Bryson's 'A Walk in the Woods' Sounds a fantastic place and thanks to you I can now put the images to the words. Would love one day to head over to the US and try this trail myself. Congrats.
this is a life goal of mine. but i need to go camping in the rain sometime so i can be a little more prepared. ive been out in 18*F and snow on the ground but never the rain.
I have wanted to hike the trail since I was in 6th grade when my neighbor who I looked up did it his senior year of highschool graduating early just to do.
Every time I drive by the Masspike bridge of the trail I am reminded I need to get myself in gear and on the trail
Most hikers stop about once a week in a hostel or hotel. So there you could charge phones etc. And yes, nearly every hiker has a cell phone, although it's off most of the time to save the battery. Verizon seems to have the best reception as of 2009.
