  • Never seen it before! It is simple great!

Etta, Koko Taylor and Aretha are the best 3 female singers ever!

  • @TheHuntersRock For me your 3 and Ruth Brown please

  • So cool to see this.. that was me as Etta's guitarist and musical director at age 22.. perhaps at the Northsea Jazz Festival? I love Etta, she is the reason I have a career today. I spent 14 years playing with her and I still play that guitar as my main axe, my 1957 Les Paul.. thank you for posting the video!!

    Brian Ray

  • My father told me about the northsea festival in Emden. But this vid is from Berlin I think "Deutschlandhalle".

  • @JohnPaul0livier truly saddened by the loss of a good friend

  • @brianrayguitar I was touched very much like you wrote about Etta James, have just received your mail distribution. She must have been like a second mother to you. We had hear your wonderful guitar playing on several occasions to admire in Germany. When you guys come again to Germany, only one concert in Cologne, that's not enough for your German fans, O) Halt die Ohren steif Brian!!! this is what they say here in northern Germany to someone to comfort him when someone...

  • *Yes, it was a TV broadcast in Berlin, Germany, not the Northsea Festival.

  • Part 3, after our nerves settled down. Etta was about 39 in this clip, I was 22.

RIP Etta.. and thank you for the life you gave me.

  • That black guy looks like Samuel L jackson
