Way to be Ignorant, also you misspelled "piece"

I am a BMW guy but I happen to own a C5 Z06. Although the M3 has a nice fit and finish, as a performance vehicle the Corvette is leagues ahead of the M3. The Z is capable of running the Nürburgring in 7:56 thats 26 sec faster than an E46 M3 and 9 sec faster than the E92 M3.

As for that "Big Engine" It still manages to make better fuel efficiency on both the Hwy and City then the 3.2l S54.

I have an e46 m3, and c6 z06. im going to make the m3 a track car and get a HPF stage 4 1200bhp. there is now a widebody stock look to put 345 rear, and 285 front. Bigger then z06 tires... HPF website has videos of a supercharged z06 800rwhp getting beat by a stage 3 M3 850rwhp @ 3032lbs. Inline 6's with boost are no joke! I might get a head and cam stage 3 kit for my zo6 put me at 560rwhp. Still wont keep up with the M though! I was gonna buy a turbo supra but e46 M3 is the shit now!

@Flabernat Go check out the world record time around the nurburggring for the m3 csl kellners. No covrvette or any car for that matter can do that. 7.65 mins or something, just insane dude for a 3.2 litre 6 cylider supercharged engine.

that m3 is fuckin sick, that vette cant even take a corner worth a shit. If that track had no straights, the zo6 would have had no chance in passing that e46 m3 the handling and power is amazing in that car. A simple supercharger would smash that zo6 into next week. Ive seen it done in my buddy's supercharged e46. However you gotta love that wine of and sound of the zo6 engine, but personally not a good eough car for the price tag.

@boozeye66 lol why would the bimmer last longer? There are a ton of people on corvetteforum who logged in over 80k miles and no serious issues. EVERY car has issues. BMW, Merc, Audi it doesnt matter. they will have something, even small before 40k... its inevitble. Look at all the long term test reviews from different companies on the E92 and E46's, they all have some maintanence, large and small

hey i was thinking of getting either a 2004 m3 e46 or a 2002 zo6 corvette i know the bmw would last longer and i could buy it with some mileage already on it but for the zo6 corvette whats a good amount of mileage to buy a used one at??? and what would u perfer a zo6 or m3? thanks

Z06 and E46 M3 are not in the same class. Zje M3 is a sports coupe while the Z06 is a sports car built for Racing like that. The CSl would've been a better comparison, although it still has less hp than the vette
