eBay Experian Auto Check On 1959 VOLGA Sedan (USSR)

Here is my under the covers investigation into eBay / Experian Auto Check on pre-standard vehicle identification number reporting. Cars with 0's, 1's, X's for a VIN Number. This Volga Has Nothing But Accidents in it's history report!!

The Experian website will not accept anything less than 17 Characters, but vehicles on eBay with less have history reports. I'm wondering where eBay is getting all this data?

Something smells like 3 day old Dead Fish in San Jose.. :)

Seriously, I feel that buying anything that expensive on the web, without seeing it IRL and driving it etc is a big no-no.

Not even sure what to think about the VINs, because in every case I ever observed those it was a fake scam or redirect listing.

Whatever the real story, it smells phishy and "phunny".

I have been working on cars before i could legally drive one. I was the youngest licensed auto dealer in town at 21. And have seen just about every angle of this business.

Car business is what someone makes out of it, and when eBay came along with it's community values and trust, it added honor to an often referred to as shady business.

You could trust your trading partner! People bought cars from out of state and had them shipped to their door, then called saying thank you.. I love the car!
