This is the best Tony Dorsett film on You Tube for the most underrated great running back in football history. Tough, strong for his size, and lightning fast...and, yes, Darrell Green DID have an angle (for those who know).

  • Dorsett embarassed the Cardinals when he started right and then spinned over his right shoulder to go left and scored a TD. He was and still is and will always be my favorite RB of all time..This dude made me run like him as a kid playing football because his style was unmatched and his vision, speed, quickness, & acceleration is beyond reproach...He was simply "NASTY!!"

  • @ilovefolgers you can kind of see him try to accelerate when he notices green coming

  • @GeNadi125 lol it's a little different having to turn 180 degrees and catch a man already up to speed

  • Look at the young Herm Edwards hating on Dorsett talking about he gets out of bounds. Funny how you always see him trailing Tony D on all of the big runs that he made on the Eagles

  • @ilovefolgers Neither do I

  • @jesseh1 It would be hard to debate it denying Dorsett at least being in the top 5 all time - if not the greatest of all time. I still don't nuderstand why he does not seem to get the respect he deserves.

  • As it was not really an open field run, neither Green nor Dorsett were in top gear. What a silly issue...he scored is about all that mattered on that play.

  • If you judge running backs by their college and the pro careers, you can make a case for Dorsett being the greatest of all time.

  • im from pa and i know some guys who grew up with tony in allaquippa PA and they all called him Hawk because of his vision on the field

  • @205seeme lol, or i'm Staubach! i'm Bradshaw! .....good times! back when players only had Agents, not Agents, lawyers and parole officers.

  • @quincee33 Of Course I love those guys, they were amazing:-) ...Bo and emmit came up at almost the same time and thats why I was comparing them.Tony Dorsett was my big brothers fav.. I can remember back yard football..and my brother callin the play as he was running..."Dorset to the 50,40,30...hes goin all the wayyyyy."TouchDown!!!!" You know how you do when youre little kids.

  • Respond to this video... excellent clip, dorsett and dickerson were fun to watch, and then barry sanders eclipsed that...too bad he retired so early.

  • @npgfunk me and my buddies were talking about athletes that you forget where they finished their careers like Dorsett played for Denver, Franco Harris went to Seattle, i think earl Campbell ended his career with the Saints... not too many athletes like cal ripkin or walter payton.....even jerry rice played for 4 teams.

  • @205seeme no love for Franco Harris or Earl Campbell?

  • @AbuGrabIt Emmit would have had to share the spotlight with Bo Jackson had Bo not been injured.People soon forget how great Bo was on the field.I'm not an Auburn fan but I loved watching Bo run.Tony Dorsett,Emmit Smith,Bo Jackson and Jerry Rice are my all time fav Off players.

  • Herm Edwards is a loudmouth now and he was a loudmouth back when this was shot. You can not question DOrsett's toughness

  • @GeNadi125 Darryl was 7 years younger AND wasn't carrying the ball like Tony D.

  • @ 3:31 to 3:38....sweet!!!

  • TD!!!!!!! Cowboys!!!!!!

  • if you stop this video at the 5:55 second mark youll see a really cool highlight of him running into the light and out of the shadow at Texas Stadium. I wonder what game this was? A photo during this run was taken and used for the 1980 Cowboys media guide cover. So, Im assuming it was during the 1979 season. If anyone knows, would like to find that game. I have several from '79 but its not in any of thoe games i have. Thanks.

  • I remember Tony Dorsett getting knocked out in the first half of a game against Philadelphia, getting a concussion, and then coming back during the second half of the game to run for over a hundred yards and winning the game to boot.

  • All that and so handsome!

  • Wow. I am luck to have seen Tony Dorsett on TV when I was a boy and Emmitt Smith as a 30 year old. The best Cowboy running backs way ahead of everyone else.
