There's more English living and studying in Belfast now than there has ever been and they fit in, so don't be afraid to come over.

it looks nice to me.. but I've never been there. I'd like to know more about this city but I've gathered very different opinions about it. Some say It's a lovely city with a friendly atmosphere and nice people despite all the problems it had in the past years while others say that it's a shit hole and still quite dangerous.. what can one expect when visiting this city?

@alle1977 It all depends on who you have been talking to and how negatve they are. Besides the city centre there are places worth visiting such as Belfast Castle, Queens university & Botanic Gardens. It has definetly improved in the last decade. I was away for years myself and when I returned I could see a difference. Any city can be dangerous if in the wrong place at the wrong time. Safety can never be completly guaranteed anywhere.

the city is a dump that is going nowhere. nice new buildings wont change the mentality of the people. i'm glad i'm away from it now.

I visited belfast recently and was a bit apprehensive before going. Some of the other videos on youtube give it a bad rep. I found it to be a lovely place and the people were really friendly.

i'm italian, i've been in belfast in the 1998, few month after the good friday agreement... and i found a fantastic and a welcoming people.... my english is not perfect maybe, but i love your city as anybody else, and i hope the best future for you.... full of creativity, and whatever deserve to you.... peace, beauty, and the courage that the world admired in the last years.... thanks... good example for every people
