Jen Peeples correction (For those of you who don't know Jen Peeples is one of the hosts from the Atheist Experience TV show): What Jen Peeples actually said in effect is that the universe is entirely meaningless and I'm entirely okay with that. That is significantly different from saying life is meaningless. I would somewhat agree with Jen Peeples on this but I would word it differently. I would say that the universe is the product of natural forces and not a direct intelligence with purpose in mind.

This is great! I never thought about infinite life being equally meaningless (or meaningful) as a finite one. That is an excellent argument I will be sure to use the next time I'm asked this type of question.

Yes, some people do make their religious faith their primary purpose, meaning and value in their lives and in my opinion it is a life wasted, or at the very least, partly wasted.

I'm an atheist. My life is filled with meaning and purpose because I have actively worked towards giving my life meaning and purpose.
