Business Incubators help to improve the survival and growth of innovative start-up companies by providing facilities, management advice and support services.

Since 2002, infoDev has supported more than 60 business incubators in over 40 developing companies around the world.

InfoDev is a global grant program managed by the World Bank to promote innovative projects on the use of information and communication technologies.

STEP is a model interface institution, which delivers innovation, science and technology and entrepreneurship through training, development and consultancy initiatives. It was established in 1986 in the sprawling environs of Regional Engineering College, Tiruchirappalli is the first STEP in the country. It has been continually engaged in promoting a new genre of entrepreneurs and many new initiatives for ushering in technology based growth.

problem is also average IQ. indians get acess to education, proper nutrition, mental stimulation, w/ intelligent parent have IQs very high, but most of poor don't get schooling even if they are free because they are busy working. kids barely have food, so intellect suffers. this greatly brings down avg iq. indian govt needs take control, limit reproduction o poor, provide proper nutrition & incentive for mental stimulation, along w/ cultural renaissance.

Keep in mind India does still have one of the worlds biggest poverty rate but in any case a Hindu Rennaissance is what is needed for this world. I hope India does not lose touch with its spirtual beginning. Spirtual enlightenment came from India and if they want to rule this cultural exchange I hope they find a way to bring their knowledge, ideas and spirtuality to the west as a whole not seperately.

1000's of yrs., plus foreign influence - Chinese, Arab, Euro, turned the caste system into a dynamo of innovation as it provided 'networks' of support from within. It is the mid castes, the 'mistri-mali-khatri' castes who took the lead in innovation, often under duress. Eg. Partition & Bollywood.

Business incubators are a real service to society. I myself was associated with one in North America and even now, few years after passing out I learn from them on a regular basis. The network and learning environment it creates is fantastic. This is real development; a real service to individuals, society and country.
