Great tutorial. I am new to inkscape and totally interested in making my own florishes. I am trying to use the Bezier tool but I seem to be having a hard time controlling it. I make it look easy to create the curves and mine always want to go the reverse direction. Am I missing something??? have I not clicked something?

Hi, the mode bar is not showing with me, any help?

And I got your answer to question 1 to work for me....soooo awesome!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! Just can't tell you though how MUCH I personally appreciate your tutorials. Wouldn't of ever been daring enough to try Inkscape with THEM OR YOU!!
Okay, question 2...You have 2 videos to flourishes demos and the other is titled "Another flourish using the bezier tool". This one is listed for SCAL. The other, less steps and uses the "Shape" selection after you select the Bezier Tool. Why the extra step of the circle and pulling it out to create a draw out for the tips of the flourish? I guess I was having trouble getting it to work for me because of the circle/node thing.

Oh that is because the second video uses a triangle & elipse. This video uses a circle to create a tear drop brush stroke. Two different methods two different results.

Hi Rob :) Question 1...When I choose now to make a circle and then go to the node selection I've apparently created a problem for past playing that now won't give a complete circle, but a pie out. How the heck do I get rid of it continuing to want to keep doing that? And I have a second question that I'll do a 2nd comment about. Thanks!!

@bkchrise make sure the start and end when you create the circle says 0 and 0 on the top part of the menu section. It's titled CHANGE. you can see it at 2:14 on the time stamp.
