Catch a fascinating glimpse of filmmaker Lech Majewski at work on his latest feature "The Mill & The Cross," featuring interviews with Majewski and star cast including Rutger Hauer and Michael York.
"The Mill & The Cross" is visually ravishing recreation of Pieter Bruegel's epic 1564 painting "The Way to Cavalry," presented alongside the story of its creation with Hauer as Bruegel himself, York as art collector Nicholas Jonghelinck, and Charlotte Rampling as the Virgin Mary.
"The Mill & The Cross" makes its U.S. Theatrical Debut on September 14th at New York's Film Forum.
Blu-ray release is Jan 31, 2012

@HedgehogPhil It has already been released. The premiere of the movie took place around March 2011. Since then it was shown, for instance, in Louvre. 'The Mill and the Cross' is, briefly speaking, bringin the painting of Bruegel to life in a very unique form of cinematorgaphic art. In my humble opinion, a must see.
