David Howard instructs two dancers from the David Howard Dance Center by clearly showing each combination of steps before the music starts and offering suggestions after the exercise is over. The dancers demonstrate the exercises in both directions at the Barre and all the combinations in the center. Douglas Corbin has created arrangements of twenty-four melodies to be used in the ballet class. The standard four-count introduction is combined with easy to follow rhythms and uplifting melodies. Each selection on the album is contained on this visual demonstration with some of the longer melodies for center work fading out after the exercise has been performed several times.

Ballet is for guys, too! In EVERY ballet, there is a pas de duex, and a main male character. Watch some videos of strong male dancers, and you will see how hard they train to be able to do what they do. Sure, girls are pretty and on pointe and such, but guys have to be strong and jump high and do countless pirouettes and be able to lift 100 or so pounds multiple times a SHOW.

Don't be silly. ...There is a role for males in ballet and somebody has to do it. Usually somebody with a calling/passion for it...and I know lots of strong, graceful male dancers who are definitely masculine.

Well, everyone's entitled to their opinions. But since ballet is mostly girls, boys are in HIGH demand and can make a pretty good living.

im not trying to be rude or anything but i think that ballet is mostly for girls, but he is really good too! i've been a dancer since i was three and i love it! in fact i have a rehersal tonight and recital tomorrow!
