Not very good aseptic technique even in a vertical flow laminar hood, and did you use a filter needle after withdrawing the fentanyl and putting it into the iv bag?

lol i found a vial of fentanyl up in my cabinet at home.. my mom works at the cancer center, and for some reason there was some up there one day lol.. i sold it for 30 bucks a couple years ago.. im 19 now

@FulsoftHardrock this is being prepared for an iv infusion for pain mangement,I'm surprised at the levels tehy go to on here for sterility.Every time I have been in hospital and they have done this,for fentayl/morphine etc they were never as careful,last time the anaethetist cut his finger on the phial opening it while preping my shot! I see they didnt label the saline bag in this,I hope they do to avoid mistakes!

My last op (dec14th 09 the anaethetist when opening the fentayl phials to fill the syringe before injecting it into my IV line cut his finger badly with on the glass,all he did was wrap hid finger in a bit of paper towel and carried on! They were no way as uber sterile doing it as they are on this video!

I'm pretty sure that the person prepared a pre-determined amount of fentanyl/saline solution for a hospital IV drip.
