Here I describe some considerations you will need to take when you think about how you wish to mount your Packard. Because space is NOT an issue on an 8x10 Deardorff, buy far the simplest adaptors fit into the original 6x6 lens area of the Dorff. The Packard attaches to the back of that and the tubing is drawn through the flat of the adaptor on the front side. Refer to the pics. These adaptors usually then take a 4x4 lensboard. Thus, the whole ensemble becomes an adaptor within an adaptor. These are readily available on e-BAY. If room is an issue (non Dorff or smaller than 8x10 Dorff cameras), then the assembly can stick out and the tubing can be drawn from underneath. That way the assembly is no bigger than the size of the Packard--while the tubing still passes through wood. Hope this all makes sense!!
