2010 Mountain Bike World Cup #6: Four Cross

The multi-racer cross is the most exciting new race format in any number of sports. It's old fashioned race in that time is irrelevant. The first one across the finish line wins. What makes it different is that bumping and pushing is encouraged, and the playing field is anything but level.

@matoyhere Sure is. That's why racing cross races are such fun. The racers are fighting for the best line through the course. Once you grab the lead in the line, the other racers have to go around you. A little cutting and bumping is only natural - and super exciting.

The problem I have with these kinds of sports(ski/board cross) is that more often than not the race is just about who is fastest from the gate. The tracks are too short and narrow for overtaking. Sure theres some overtaking in this video but that's probably everything that happened there that day.
