The documentary "The Martyrs Smile" by the brittish journalist Robert Fisk, which is the first part of the trilogy "From Beirut To Bosnia: Muslims & The West", is an attempt to clear up the illusion of evil Muslims the people of the west still have regarding the Muslims and the Eastern lands, it also attempts to warn the Westerners of an oppressed Muslim populace which will deservingly burst into hatred for the oppressors which in this case are the Zionistic Israelites whom are aided by the governments of the West!

In "The martyrs Smile" Robert Fisk travels through Lebanon & meets up with "Sayyid Hasan Nasrullah", the Secretary Leader of 7izballah!

brother, you should look at the the percentage of the Shi3ites, only 15% of the Ummah, yet they are the ones who protect the Muslim Ummah, they have done so for the last 30 years at least, you are wrong akhee, the Shi3ites have prospered, you see, Shi3ites are pulling (or at least attempting to do so) the Sunnis up from the dirt but the Sunnis are dragging the Shi3ites down into the dirt!

I think we Muslims cannot ever patch up with the Shias as long as the Shias curse the companions of the Prophet(S) and his beloved wife Ayisah. The Shias are fools they will never prosper. They day they stop cursing the rightious companions and the wife of the prophet (S) then there is hope. They should give up their heretic belief first.

If all of us were so diplomatic (and careful with things like takfir), then we would be united in no-time and fixing all the djahiliyyah in the entire ummah (shi'a, sunni, soofi, so forth)

Akhee,you are completely correct,however, even now that we do call ourselves Shi3i & Sunni we can still unite,uniting does not necessarily mean to wed each other,I am not for marriages actually,it rather means that we respect each other & curse those enemies who hurt either one of us & that we are prepared to sacrifice ourselves for each other!

And that is what I claimed la ilaha illa allah to mean as well, but if one follows even one hadeeth which goes against Qur2an then that is wrong!

Shi'a, Sunni.....

We're all MUSLIMS and allah is telling us to call ourselves MUSLIMS in the qur'an!

The tag ahlussunnah-wal-jama'ah was just to differentiate from shi'a.

And the proper meaning of la ilaha il allah is that there is none WORTHY of worship except for allah.

Anyway, none is a true believer until he takes the messenger of Allah as judge in everything, and he cannot go against Allah unless in weak ahadith.

It is the true form of the concept "la ilaha illa allah wa7dahu la shareeka la!"

Meaning I will not worship none other than Allah Muta3al, I will not not obey anyone against Allah (meaning no hadeeth which goes against the Word of Allah should be accepted!), and if we Sunnis and Shi3ites realise this then ou unity is much easier!
