first of all, its an anime ^^. Anime isn't exactly cartoons.
Second, it's about a girl Tohru (the brunette with blue eyes) who becomes an orphan and lives in a tent after her mother dies. She does this until one day Yuki Sohma (the blue-haired guy) and his cousin discover her and have her live with them. From there she discovers the secret of the Sohmas etc.
It's a very great show and has a lot of powerful lessons ^^

i can't believe tohru ended up with kyo. DX yuki deserves to be with tohru. he was always nice to her, and said he likes her in that episode when they go to the lake. DAMN IT

If you actually read all the mangas, you'll see that yuki doesn't like tohru that way. he says, that he only thinks of her as a mother. and anyways, yuki gets a girlfriend in the manga, a while after the last episode in the show (it continues on) so, tohru and yuki both don't feel that way about eachother, not just tohru.
