Weezer tends not to add all sorts of batshit crazy things to their covers. They did the same on a very good cover of The Weight, and even when they make a song darker and change the tempo of it, like they did on their brilliant cover of Velouria (look it up, it rocks) they still stay true to the original.

I like it that way. It's respectful. Perfect songs can not be improved but they can still be honored and enjoyed.
