wow, great example of what being aggressive, a left handed high-c, and a dominant gut wrench can do! most exciting freestyle match i've ever seen!
-
total domination!! I so wish I could talk to him again. And gotten pictures taken at his house with all his accomplishments. He was a total animal. And a totally approachable guy. I am so glad we can still watch him now days. Cody, Cole and Kael Sanderson used to do the same spin to a shot in high school, now we know where they got it from.

He said those countries.

sick I've never seen anyone do that many gutwrenches back to back. Technical Superiority is an understatement they should call it complete ownage

I wish they showed all the combat sports on tv

I love how the announcer says "those commies elected not to be here" lol

i 'have watched him on old vids here since before when abc wide world of sports in the 70's and 80's showed greco and freestyle on national tv .
every now and then when i watch on here its like he has the soul of a savage grizzly bear , ripping tearing shredding, and wrecking a victim to pieces

Mark was an animal. Different from his brother Dave, who was much more of a technician. I remember watching Mark cut wait for the 84 Olympic trials. If I am not mistaken, he was like 11 pounds over with about 2 hours to make it. Obviously he did, which shows his gutsy mental toughness. As joepa67 said, Mark tended to just over-power and break his opponents mentally and physically no matter what level of competition.
