6024 'King Edward I' On The Torbay Express 2009

For the past month and a bit 6024 King Edward I has been back ruling the west once again hauling the famous Torbay Express.

As some of you know I have not been uploading my footage of 6024 at work hauling the Torbay express, this is because for a while now I have been working on video that shows 6024 at work on here Torbays from the 23rd August till 27th September.
For the video I decide to put the Lineside locations in the order the train would passes them.

We start of at Taunton station were we see the king resting after a brief run from Bristol Temple Meads, after a couple of shots of the king she is then seen departing with a day out in the West Country in front of her. Next we move to the famous whiteball bank were the king whistles pass onlookers, next its to whiteball tunnel were the king climbs the 1 in 80 nearing the summit.
Next its the classic seaside location of Dawlish, the king is seen coasting along the seawall in the morning sunshine.

Next its the return seen at Dawlish Warren were the king is seen back on the seawall heading for Exeter, Finally we finish with Tiverton Parkway were in the fading day light the king passes and heads for Bristol temple meads

| Dawlish Warren (Langstone Rock) 23rd August
|Tiverton Parkway 6th September

It has been another good season for the king with only one small failure its good to see her back on the mainline, Im looking forward to seeing her at the West Somerset Railway for there gala.

Thanks for posting this - it was great to see snippets of Devon again as I used to live there before departing overseas. I enjoyed the steam train rides when I was there, too, so it was all very nostalgic. Great video work!
