Today's guest: Kwon Song Kyu
From Seoul, Korea.

Our first Korean guest!

STICK NEWS: Hello Kitty arm bands for Thai police

Update:
The police have stopped this policy after the company heard about the story -- they didn't have permission to use the image. Well duh...
How ironic that it was the police doing it. I think it also says a lot about the awareness in Thailand of copyright issues.

  • Hi, Sarah, could u explain to me what is a Wwoof host? first I thought it was Waffle host.. ;) thanks

  • Waffle host haha. WWOOFing is kind of volunteer program - you work on an organic farm in exchange for food and accommodation. So a WWOOOF host is the person you are staying with - the owner of the farm/property.

  • I want to say there's another problem after graduation, They have to hang their life again because of tuition fee.

  • I don't get how this is a copyright issue. They're not selling the armbands and they didn't even use them in public; they only wore them inthe police office. That's just like me not being allowed to wear Nike Clothing in my own house!

  • Oh, I HAD seen this. My memory is a little bad I admit...

  • So the Hello Kitty band would work like some grade school 'dunce cap'. Well if it worked for 1930s school children it should work for those naughty police.

  • "Watch Friends."

You know, I think every person I've ever spoken to who was learning English has said that they liked to watch that show.

  • Sarah's from New Zealand.

  • Great guest by the way!
