I finally made some (crappy) video of my progress playing drums. This is my fourth week of drumming with my TD-9s. My only other drumming experience (if you can call it that) is when I had a borrowed set for a few weeks when I was in college (25 years ago).
It didn't take me long to start upgrading my TD-9s. I bought a PD-100 and PD-80s off of eBay, and got a CY-12R/C from craigslist. I also own all three V-Expressions kit collections. In this video I'm playing the "Yamaha" kit from VEX's latest collection "Acustix".
This tune is from a sampler of Petrillo playalong tracks. It's a Latin-influenced tune, and I made no attempt whatsoever to achieve a Latin feel :-), since I don't have the know-how. I downloaded it from Hudson Music:

It's funny, I definitely appreciate the comments and ratings, but they're on the worst of the videos (what with the stick dropping and boring beat).
Oh well...

I have no choice -- to lazy to re-learn anything else :-). I'm left-handed, playing a standard right-hand setup, except that the ride is next to the HH. Works great!
Love your video.

Stick with the open handed playing style. It will do you proud one day.
