It's a good idea, but they said it is safer because it has no fuel; even without fuel, hydrogen is still highly explosive.

Nice concept for a submarine. Earth's atmosphere is nowhere dense enough for such craft... Helium is only 11% less dense than air, therefore the craft have to be only 10% heavier than the air it displaces. Oh but then there is the 'Vacuum Balloon' theory.

Such aircraft won't make it above 1mile alt. because its rigid. the pressure of the gas inside would make the ship heavier, and thrusting it out would generate minimum lift. Also upper-atmospheric winds are generally 60-150mph.
