It is true that Alexander the Great was half Illyrian by his mother side Myrtal or widely known as Olympias but Macedonian by his father side Phillip.However we Macedonians predetermine the child by his father side.And when Phillip was assasinated,Illyrians and Thracians started an uprisings against the Macedonians,which were dwelt by Alexander himself.Shortly after that the Greeks also started uprising in Thebes unknowing about the Illyrian and Thracian defeat.They also failed.
