The belief that we have a better standard of living that past centuries because of regulation, what nonsense, the only reason we have a better standard of living is because we are simply multiple times more productive and have better capital and technological resources. Productivity is the only factor that determines prosperity.

It is the greatest of fallacies that there has been deregulation, there simply has not been any, if anything there has been more. It is the federal reserve and the fiat currency that created the problem, money does not mean anything it is only a piece of paper or a byte on a computer screen, it is only real goods and services that create a strong economy, credit expansion on the massive scale seen during the boom is nothing but a destructive imaginary bubble.

Just like the deregulation, by government, has created this massive economy fall and failure we are enduring now? How can you have it both ways? Have you been an advocate of Voodoo economics? Without intervention now, we will become 18th Century France. Let them eat cake?
