yeah i understand what your saying, but you see drivers after a big rollover will take time to get to where they were, not questions about experience and skill asked, i am aware that Whincup was not in a big crash, but he would have had a tight hold on that steering wheel while passing kelly
but if he was not confident in himself he would not be classed as skilled, i race, and if i dont trust myself to go through the corner hard ill just get overtaken

He had already won the championship, and dominated the first round. It's not confidence it is skill and class.
