Lyrics:

Come into this night
Here we'll be gone
So far away
From our weak and crumbling lives
Come into this night
When days are done
Lost and astray
In what's vanished from your eyes

What came and distorted your sight
Saw you benighted by your fright

Come into this night
Your plight alone
Carry your weight
You are flawed as all of us
Come into this night
Your only home
It's never too late
To repent, suffer the loss

What came and distorted your sight
Saw you benighted by your fright

What came and distorted your sight
Saw you benighted by your fright

Come into this night
When you're able
To undo your deeds
And atone with your lonely soul
Once you're into this night
All minds are stable
Forget all your needs
Lose the grip of all control

  • - twilight, darkness, life.

  • Sounds like porcupine tree....

  • This song is a reference to a song from a prog rock band called " Camel - Never Let Go"

And the album is a reference to an album called "Still Life" from a prog rock band called "Van Der Graaf Generator" xD

  • @Lordofdeath127 well said man

  • truly one of the most beautiful songs I know. The hopelessness and darkness that it contains mixed with the hope of finally being with someone he truly loves, this complex paradox is really reflected with this piece of art.

  • @benmech No, according to wikipedia: "Benighted" reads like a love letter, an unspoken ode to Melinda. The outcast tries to convince Melinda to run away with him and observes that the grip of the society's religion has taken control of her life. He argues that the only way for her to free herself is to come with him.

  • Is he raping Melinda here?

  • I really love this song! Thank you for the HD upload!
