@TheOrkutGuy Actually more so without Getter Robo as it was the biggest inspiration. Go Nagai only played a small part in it by giving them the idea of using jets instead of cars.

There's two classes of invincible awesome mech. On the positive side, we have Mazinkaiser, Getter Emperor, Gunbuster, GGGG, and TTGL. On the negative side, we have Great Zeorymer (and Omega if it shows up), Ideon, MAYBE RahXephon and Linebarrel. Power levels vary, sure, but all of these are easily among the most broken mechs in existence.

then if I make my games that I want to, Ilivais Axion and Exist will likely join them. Most likely only as a pair though.

I love TTGL, but Mazinkaiser is awesome too! in SRW W I always turn on Mazinkaiser's battle animation all the time cuz of its awesome attacks (IMO) and the badass theme song "Mazin Kenzan".

It's just that a third of the mecha fanbase is people who have only seen TTGL and maybe Evangelion and say that Gurren Lagann is the best ever, another third of it is oldfags who only like Getter and Mazinger and maybe Gundam, and the final third are people like us two who like both.

@AngelAngelis Well, the trinity nowadays (going by the awesomeness that is SRW@3) is Mazinkaiser/Shin Getter/Genesic GaoGaiGar. I could see putting GL in for GGGG, but it would be massive flamebait.

Z2 does have Shin Mazinger Z/Shin Getter/GL coming in over Mazinger Z/Getter G/Grendizer though; make of that what you will. I am not going to override @3 in my own head-mecha-lexicon yet, but if they put Getter Emperor in Z2-2 or Z3 it will do much to persuade me. (please, Banpresto? please?)
