One reason mainstream is actually mainstream is because of product placement. Britney Spears got 40,000 in one of her videos just from that. They have more money because they sell out and ruin atmosphere. People like La Roux would never do that because they are amazing artists, and Telephone? If you can tolerate the whole video, look at all the products. That is why I agree with you and Lady Gaga isn't as good.
