The Healthy Reefs Initiative is a collaborative international effort that generates user friendly tools to measure the healthy of the Mesoamerican Reef Ecosystem, delivers scientifically credible reports to assist decision making and serves as a networking hub for science and conservation partners to improve environmental management and stewardship of reef resources. In the recent 2008 Eco health report card for the MAR region surveying 326 sites on a grading scale (very good, good, fair, poor, and critical) 47% of the reef sites received a poor. While this signifies a red flag noting that reef systems are being compromised, the good news is that this report card will be reproduced every other year thus enabling all who strive to make the reef healthy for healthy people, opportunities to put better practices into play. visit www.healthyreefs.org for more information

Well done! This type of video would be good for guides to show before taking tourists into the reef.
