After learning and paying attention to Ron for the past 4 years I must say, he never wanted to win and he knew he would never have won. He used the propoganda platform (TV and debates) to use against the propogandists who urn for a totalitarian one world government with a much smaller global population to control. He was much more successful in waking up the American people and other people across the globe to what freedom is. The problem is not just the President, it's the entire government.

The Ron Paul movement is partially fueled by the American youth, rest easy, my friend :)

I don't think that the United States would "not care" if one of their states decided to secede. Aside from Guatemala and Mexico, I do not know many "legal and peaceful" secessions...

The Patriot Act was voted on, during a time of high emotion.(not good time for decision making) It was an almost unanimous vote. Now, some of us see the error of the bill! But it was not a 51%-49% result, that time. The statesmen were ticked! I would believe it if someone told me it was 98% -2%.

Another Benjamin Franklin quote, “Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote!”

He, also, refers to the founding fathers. Benjamin Franklin (from the past-?path?) was quoted as saying, "We gave you a Republic, if you can keep it!" The men who wrote the Constitution and Bill of Rights were brilliant.

Secession can be undertaken, with the filing of legal papers. If the country did not care, a state could, easily, secede. The United States did not want to allow the southern states to split from the country. So, there was a Civil war. That is my understanding.

Constitutional amendments can't be changed except by adding new amendments. Why do you think they had to repeal alcohol prohibition with a counter amendment to the original amendment to prohibit alcohol? There is a way to repeal amendments, and it is not by a simple vote, as on the Patriot act. Changing an amendment takes votes by all of the states, to be signed and approved by the legislature and the President. So, your argument is not correct. Name calling shows lack of maturity.
