Documentary by Bosse Lindquist. "The Rebels" is examining the results of the leftist movement in Sweden during the 60s and 70s, trying to understand why a small and well-to-do society in the extreme north of Europe became fascinated with Mao Zedongs communist solutions for agrarian and feudal China. The small Rebel movement had not been discussed in Sweden for decades and was until the broadcast of this documentary one of the Swedish Lefts best kept secrets.
