totti is a legend idc what people think or say .... u can compare him to big names but how many of those players played for money?? totti has stayed with roma and will always be a roma player, so respect the man for that. plus hes a beast any way u look at it. Not many players play for the jersey like he does...the man is a legend period.

@Pomaori If you have nothing against him, I believe you rarely watched him play when he was great. If you are basing your opinions on what he has done after 06-07, I can see why you feel the way you do. I am not a Roma supporter either. But I watched him at his peak and I concur with Pele, Maradona, and Beckenbauer who called him the best player in the world. Based on the players you list I can see the media has swayed your view substantially, it is almost exclusively LaLiga and PL players.

@MrMabloom No bias on my part I am objective and indifferent about totti. Perhaps the bias may be on your part ? I am guessing you are a Roma fan ? I never said totti was not a world class player because he clearly was. All I am arguing is that he is severely overrated by people such as yourself who think he is one of the greatest players of his generation when he clearly isn't. He is not even worthy of comparison to zidane or henry or ronaldiniho. Those guys are the greats of the recent era.

@Pomaori Before Totti Roma was Sh.!.t. then they were champs. Batigoal came because of him. But you go too far. Samuel is a world class legend in any era, while Totti is a domestic star? The team was good but without a doubt the best player on that team was Totti. He was the Serie A player of the year in 2000 ahead of Zidane who narrowly beat him for the award in 2001. To consider him anything less than one of the greatest players of his generation is a gross misjudgment or bias on your part.
